This is the Maliën necklace in gold-plated stainless steel from Bandhu. For this collection inspiration was found in chainmail armor. It’s a tribute to the ancient art of protection and beauty.
The Celts, who were skilled in working with iron, made the first chainmail around 300 years before Christ. It was a mesh of metal rings carefully crafted to withstand cuts from swords and knives.
Using the idea of linking small rings together, the Maliën Necklace was created. It is a statement piece while honoring the craftsmanship of the past.
